Auditing
The audit research in the Group is concerned with a variety of recent and emerging trends. An important research focus lies in accounting education and the construction of the modern accounting profession and professional(Ken Bates, Louise Gracia, Keith Hoskin, Rihab Khalifa). With respect to private sector audit firms research is under way to trace the emergence, implementation, and effects of Business Risk Audit (Rihab Khalifa).
Current research projects within Auditing
Audit Methodologies, Knowledge Practices and Organisational Legitimation
Rihab Khalifa received a two year research grant from the ESRC (£112,560) with two colleagues from the University of Manchester and the University of Cardiff. The project focuses on Business Risk Audit Methodologies and is entitled “Audit Methodologies, Knowledge Practices and Organisational Legitimation"
