The Marketing Group at WBS

The Marketing Group at Warwick Business School is a vibrant community of scholars where curiosity drives research, collaboration fuels ideas, and teaching and scholarship together inspire positive change in business and society. We include more than 20 full-time faculty, supported by research fellows, visiting scholars, professional staff, and doctoral students. Our work combines intellectual rigor with practical relevance, advancing understanding of how consumers, firms, and societies interact in an increasingly complex and connected world.

Our research spans the full breadth of marketing—from consumer psychology and branding to strategy, selling, innovation, digital analytics, and quantitative modelling. Drawing on insights from psychology, economics, sociology, and data science, we tackle pressing questions such as how artificial intelligence reshapes marketing and consumer behavior, what drives decision-making in data-rich environments, and how organizations and salespeople create value in an era of digital transformation and global competition. Our research is published in leading outlets across marketing and related fields, influencing theory, policy, and practice worldwide.

Our teaching reflects the same energy. Across undergraduate, MSc, and globally ranked MBA and Executive MBA programs, we offer courses on topics including branding, pricing, persuasion, sustainability, digital marketing, and strategy. Our faculty are recognized for innovation and consistently receive top evaluations for helping students connect theory with practice in ways that prepare them to lead and make an impact. The group also plays a central role in WBS’s MSc programs—Marketing & Strategy, Business with Marketing, and Business Analytics—renowned for their academic rigor and real-world relevance. Beyond the classroom, we act as a catalyst of insight and inspiration for marketing educators and professionals alike, advancing marketing education and supporting practitioners navigating a rapidly evolving marketplace.

As colleagues, we value openness, collaboration, and inclusivity. Regular research brownbags, international speaker series, and group events foster dialogue and new ideas. Informal gatherings—from potlucks to happy hours—help sustain the close-knit, collegial spirit that defines our community. Through mentoring, shared learning, and active engagement with the wider academic and professional world, we continue to strengthen an environment where ideas—and people—thrive.
