The Americas
Building meaningful collaborations
Two Research Powerhouses.
Our academics work closely with counterparts in leading higher education institutions, industry partners and funding bodies across the Americas on a wide variety of projects in both research and education. We also aspire to attract the best and most talented international students and are pleased to welcome students from across the Americas every year.
Our Partners
University of Toronto
Warwick has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Toronto which builds upon our shared ambition to broaden and deepen the collaborations between our staff and student communities.
Together we are committed to uniting our shared areas of expertise to tackle the greatest challenges faced by people across the world.
University of Michigan
In 2024, Warwick signed two Memorandums of Understanding with the University of Michigan: one between Michigan Engineering and WMG, and one between Michigan Medical School and WMS.
These agreements recognise our complementarity in expertise and facilities, as well as synergies in our approach to research and education.
University of Waterloo
We have a long-standing partnership, and Memorandum of Understanding, with the University of Waterloo, which includes joint research, student exchange and a double degree with the Balsillie School of International Affairs.
The latest collaboration is between Esports experts and will see the two universities share best practice and collaborate on research and curriculum design.
Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais
We have a well-established and fruitful relationship with the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), in Brazil, with a jointly signed Memorandum of Understanding in place.
Every year, a number of Warwick students have the opportunity to attend UFMG's Summer School on Brazilian Studies (SSBS). UFMG students also participate in the International Conference of Undergraduate Research.
Research
Our international partnerships help grow our world-leading research activity across all our disciplines. By collaborating with researchers from other countries and cultures, our researchers are able to access new and varied perspectives to problem-solving, amplifying opportunities for innovative research outcomes.

Education
Working effectively with global partners allows us to offer a broad spectrum of opportunities to our students to explore new cultures and have rich international experiences, both in person and online.
