New insite: FAQs

We know you may have some questions about your new-look insite and the information below is designed to answer some of the most immediate queries you may have. If you'd like to discuss anything further with us, you can email internalcomms at warwick dot ac dot uk or complete our feedback form.

How do I access my email online?

You can access email through the quick links, which you’ll find on the left of the insite banner – by clicking the ‘hamburger’ icon.

If you prefer, you can bookmark warwick.ac.uk/mymail

Where can I find People Search?

People Search has been incorporated into the main search box, as part of IT Services’ review of the search function. Simply search for a person’s name and the results page includes a pink ‘People’ tab giving their details. You can also see details for all other colleagues in that person’s department by clicking the department link next to their name.

If you prefer, you can bookmark the People Search page: peoplesearch.warwick.ac.uk

You’ll also find a link to the People Search page from the quick links, which you’ll find on the left of the insite banner – by clicking the ‘hamburger’ icon.

Where are the quick links?

You’ll find the quick links on the left of the insite banner – by clicking the ‘hamburger’icon.

Quick links are now accessible on each page of the site, so you can access them wherever you’ve navigated to within insite.

Quick links gives you easy access to the most commonly searched for pages – Campus maps, Departments and services, Eating at Warwick, Email, Human Resources, IT Services, my.files, People Search and Term dates.

Why isn’t there an A-Z?

The A-Z that used to sit on the old insite homepage has been replaced by the quick links and search, which have been improved. The A-Z had become unwieldy, and links to pages elsewhere on the intranet or external site were constantly changing, making it hard to maintain. The most popular sections of the A-Z, such as the departments and services listings, are now in the quick links.

The links by topic have been replaced by the quick links and search, which have been improved. The links by topic had become unwieldy and links to elsewhere on the intranet or external site were constantly changing, making it hard to maintain.

We've also created sections under Work for key information and services to support you in your job, Grow for personal and professional development opportunities, and Play to showcase all the social and informal events and activities available on campus for colleagues.

Where can I find more news?

Key University-wide news can still be found on the insite homepage. You’ll also find older news and news from around Warwick - our faculties and services - on the news page: warwick.ac.uk/insite/news

How can I feed back?

If you want to talk to us about the changes to insite, or have a suggestion for ways we can make it even better, we'd love to hear from you. This is your site, and it will continue to evolve to meet your needs.
