Professor John Solomos honoured with Distinguished Service to British Sociology Award
Professor John Solomos from the Department of Sociology has been given this year’s Distinguished Service to British Sociology Award, an award made each year by the British Sociological Association to an outstanding individual who has contributed greatly to the discipline.
Three Warwick academics awarded British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowships
Dr Alberica Bazzoni, Dr Natalia Telepneva and Dr Bobby Xinyue have been awarded prestigious funding from the British Academy, the voice of the humanities and social sciences. The Fellowships will enable them to conduct a significant piece of research leading to publication over a period of three years.
Professor R.John Ellis to be presented with 2019 Centenary Award
Professor R.John Ellis, an Emeritus in the School of Life Sciences, has been honoured in the Biochemical Society's annual Awards. The awards recognise scientists for the excellence of their work and the impact it has had within the bioscience community and wider society.
