Coventry Conversations: 27 & 28 May 2010

The current run of the Coventry Conversations events at Coventry University will end with talks from three big names. They are as follows:

Professor Jon Snow
9am, Thursday 27 May
Goldstein Theatre

Jon is the doyen of British TV newscasters with more than twenty years on screen. He will talk Elections, Haiti and more. Jon is a visiting professor of broadcast journalism at Coventry.

Professor Stephen Garrett
1pm, Thursday 27 May
ETG 34, Ellen Terry Building

Stephen is the most successful TV drama producer of modern times. He is responsible for the iconic, just finished, Ashes to Ashes and Life on Mars. He also worked on The Hustle. Where to next for television dramas?. He is a Visiting Professor of Broadcast Media at Oxford University.

Professor David McLellan
1pm, Friday 28 May

David is the world's best known Marxelogue. He has written or edited over two score books on Marx, including classic translations of the Young Marx and Capital. David has made several TV series on Marx. He will explore the relevance of Marx to Modern Times. He is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Kent.
