Islamic Awareness Week

The Warwick Islamic Society will be running a week of events on campus from Monday 18 to Friday 22 February to celebrate Islamic Awareness Week.

 

Monday 18 february

Prayer Hall Open Day
Time: 11am - 3pm
Location: Islamic Prayer Hall, just behind the Chaplaincy
Tours of the Islamic Prayer Hall will be held throughout the day.


Talk: Wasim Yaqoob – Sharia Law in Britain
Time: 6.45pm
Location: L4, Science Concourse

Tuesday 19 february

Marquee in the Piazza
Time: 9.30am - 4pm
Location: The Piazza
Details: Visit the marquee on the Piazza for free food, Nasheeds, Henna, Islamic Books, Islamic Clothes and Islamic Art. Please do stop by and support us throughout the day.

Wednesday 20 february

Talk: Muhammed Aslam – Purification of the Soul
Time:3pm
Location: R0.21, Ramphal Building

Thursday 21 february

Cultural Night
Time: 7pm
Location: MS.02
Live Qu'ran Recitation, Live Nasheeds and FREE DINNER for all to enjoy.

Archery session in co-ordination with the Archery Society
Time: To be confirmed
Location: Westwood Games Hall
Join the Archery Society for a have-a-go session open to anyone of any experience level.

Friday 22 february

Film: Muhammad - The Legacy of a Prophet
Time: 7pm – 9pm
Location: H0.51, Humanities
