Join us for the grand opening of Phyllida Barlow’s breathtaking new sculpture show at the Mead Gallery.
The Mead Gallery is delighted to present an exhibition of new works by Phyllida Barlow, one of the most influential sculptors working in Britain today. Barlow's artistic practice over the past four decades has been relentlessly demanding and uncompromising, and has earned her the position of one of the most respected sculptors of her generation.
STINT is a major new commission for Mead Gallery, and will feature a series of new sculptures which revisit familiar ideas and themes in Barlow's work.
Phyllida Barlow's recent exhibitions include; Peninsula, BALTIC, Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead, SKIT, Bloomberg Space, London, SCAPE, Spacex, Exeter, British Art Show 5, Beacon Project, The Maltings, Sleeford, Lincoln, Works on Paper, Leeds City Art Gallery. Most recently, she has exhibited STACK, a new commission for the Paul Hamlyn Foundation at the Hayward Gallery, London.
The opening party is free and everyone is welcome to attend.
Phyllida Barlow's exhibition runs from 4 October to 6 December.
