A Sacred Technology? Connecting Cultural Stories about MRI to Medical Practice

The Warwick Medical School is hosting a lecture by Professor Kelly Joyce from 9:30am to 11am on Wednesday 27 January in the IAS Seminar Room (F204) in Millburn House.

The title of the lecture is "A Sacred Technology? Connecting Cultural Stories about MRI to Medical Practice"

Kelly Joyce is an associate professor at the College of William and Mary, VA, Department of Sociology, and currently a Visiting Scientist and Program Director of the Science, Technology and Society Program in the Division of Social and Economic Sciences at the National Science Foundation. She is the author of 'Magnetic Appeal: MRi and the Myth of Transparency' (2008, Cornell University Press).

The lecture is open to all Warwick staff and students.
