Smoking Cessation Course
The NHS Smoking Cessation Team will be running courses at the University from May to assist people who wish to give up smoking.
The first course begins at 9.30am on Wednesday 2nd May and returns on Wednesday 30th May at 9.30am.
The second course begins at 13.30pm on Wednesday 16th May and returns on Wednesday 13th June at 13.30pm.
Each session lasts about an hour. Clients get four weeks worth of patches at each session. For this they pay a one off prescription charge at the current rate. Today it's £6.65, by then it may be more. If clients are entitled to free prescriptions there is no charge. Clients must bring along a cheque or postal order for the prescription charge as the NHS team cannot accept cash.
The courses are open to all staff and students.
