The Future's In Our Hands: University of Warwick Wind Orchestra & local schools

Monday 26 February 2007, 7pm

Butterworth Hall, Arts Centre

Following on from the success of last year’s exciting project with schools from the local area, the University Wind Orchestra has taken on an ambitious new challenge, expanding the scope of this year’s concert to include over 250 children, all joining together to perform two very different works.

On the surface, the two works are very different, Raydould’s upbeat light song The Future’s in Our Hands contrasting with the traditional African Gospel chant of Siyahamba. Both pieces, however, tell a tale of undying hope and optimism for the future and, together with the rest of the programme, should provide an evening full to the brim of colour and vibrancy!

Tickets: £5 (£3) available from the Box Office on 024 7652 4524 or online at www.warwickartscentre.co.uk
