Using SMS as a Communications Tool - What are the implications?

This session will describe ways in which SMS could be implemented and used as a communications tool at Warwick. The session will outline the issues to be considered, including the applications for which SMS might be appropriate/beneficial, the cost implications of using SMS and the privacy issues involved. There will be a chance to ask questions and explore ideas with ITS staff.
What will I gain from this session?
An overview of the possibilities and issues associated with using SMS as a communication tool. A chance to feed in ideas and requirements to the future development of a SMS platform
