Warwick Network 2006

Away Day for all Administrative, Library & Computing Staff

Jon F Baldwin, University RegistrarMessage from Jon Baldwin, University Registrar

Dear Colleagues,

Thank you very much to all of you who were able to attend the Warwick Network Day on Thursday 27 July. Thank you for engaging so wholeheartedly in the day’s activities.

We are currently looking at the feedback – which has been overwhelmingly positive – and considering how we can build on the event.

By building on the day, I don’t mean putting on a second Warwick Network Day next year, I mean that, where relevant, we incorporate simply the session feedback into our working practices and run appropriate follow-up sessions throughout the year.

The feedback, as well as a review of each session and photos of the graffiti wall, is being posted here on the Warwick Network webpages. You are welcome to add additional comments using the Comments Form on each page – whether you were able to attend the Warwick Network or not.

If you weren’t able to attend, you might want to watch the plenary sessions, including Lord Bill Morris’s speech online.

I believe that the Warwick Network has provided a valuable kick-start to refreshing our way of thinking about supporting academics and students.

I would like to include a wider range of staff both at next year’s Warwick Network day and in the follow-up sessions that we run in the interim. Firstly, I would like to give all non-academic staff the opportunity to get involved, and secondly, I would like to get input from some of our academic colleagues.

So, once again, thank you for your enthusiasm so far and I hope that we can rely on your continued support throughout the year.
