2011 Event Archive

Dear Colleagues,

Thanks to all of you who attended this year’s Warwick Network staff conference on Thursday 15 December. Each year this event gets bigger and better, and your feedback in previous years has helped us hone the day to be as useful, informative and entertaining for staff as possible. So a big thanks for everyone who took the time to complete a feedback form again this year.

This year there was a distinctly antipodean flavour to the plenary sessions. In the morning staff enjoyed a fascinating discussion with external keynote speaker, Sir Martin Harris, Director of the Office for Fair Access (OFFA) as well as a long-distance broadcast from our Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nigel Thrift, who was visting Monash University at the time. The afternoon plenary provided an opportunity to learn more about university management in Australia from Peter Marshall, Vice-President (Administration) at Monash University, as well as a chance to say farewell to Registrar, Jon Baldwin, who left at Christmas to take up a post at Murdoch University in Perth.

A wide variety of breakout sessions took place in both the morning and afternoon, from sessions sharing innovations and best practice to sessions covering Strategy goals to fun ice-breaker sessions including Zumba and acappella singing.

Many thanks for your support and we look forward to seeing you again next time.
