Alumna writes for Lacuna Magazine

Ruby Turok-Squire, who studied her LLM in International Development Law and Human Rights at Warwick Law School, and graduated in 2021, published an article last month for our Lacuna magazine titled: 'Building a human rights career: How to be a human rights lawyer, journalist or humanitarian.'

WLS Alumna writes touching piece for Lacuna Magazine

Emma Tetsill, who studied on our Law 3 year LLB degree and graduated in 2022, has written a touching story titled 'My Grandad and Covid - with underlying health conditions in care home, his life was no less valuable'. The heartfelt piece was recently published by our Lacuna Magazine and addresses the tragic human cost of the pandemic and government neglect.

History Alumna Freya Rowson exhibit at the Holocaust Memorial Day 2023 Exhibition

History Alumna Freya Rowson has won a competition by the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust (HMDT), with the Royal School of Drawing, to create portraits of Holocaust survivors to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day 2023.

Freya created a portrait of survivor Rudolf Brazda, the last known Holocaust survivor who was deported on charges of homosexuality, and was not only a winner but was asked by the HMDT if they could exhibit their work in the Houses of Parliament as part of Holocaust Memorial Day 2023. This work was one of only two competition entries chosen to be exhibited, and is being displayed alongside portraits of genocide survivors taken by renowned photographer Rankin.

What leadership looks like

Not only has law graduate Jessica Tinubu (LLB Law, 2022) been inspired by the trailblazing women she knows, but as one of Powerful Media’s Future Leaders, she is now an inspiration to others. An alumna of all trades, Jessica founded a start-up stationery business and has amassed a following of more than 13,000 on TikTok where she shares advice about Warwick and her law degree. And she’s only just getting started.
