New club for tech enthusiasts: The Boost Club

WMG are launching a new lunchtime club for tech enthusiasts, hackers and developers to get together to write code, share ideas, hack stuff, chat, watch demos and build an open-source social network. The Boost Club will meet for two hours at lunch time every two months at the IIPSI building, with access to a range of equipment including 3D printers, Raspberry Pis, Arduinos, Lego Mindstorms and more.

If you're interested in attending, you'll need to email Renee Crouch at by Friday 30 May 2014. Places are limited, and we can only allocate them on a first-come-first-served basis. Prerequisites if you want to attend are: basic programming skills, minimal knowledge of Digital Electronics, minimal understanding of Linux.

At the first session, on Friday 6 June, those attending will investigate the Raspberry Pi and try to build a physical project.
