Election to represent the Assembly on the Senate

Nominations are invited for one member of the Assembly to serve as a representative of the Assembly on the Senate for a three year period from 1 September 2015 to 31 August 2018. The vacancy has occurred due to the expiry of the term of appointment of Mr Stephen Lamb.

The Assembly is constituted of a significant number of academic, research and administrative staff of the University. In line with Statute 15(1) and in the light of the continuing representation on the Assembly, on this occasion nominees may not be a professor of the University.

Nominations

Nominations must be proposed and seconded by members of the Assembly and have the written consent of the nominee. Nominations should be forwarded to Jen Bowskill, on behalf of the Registrar, by Wednesday 3 June 2015.
If more than one nominations is received, an election by postal ballot will be held by Wednesday 24 June 2015 , in accordance with Regulation 2.3.

If an election is held, ballots and further guidance will be distributed by email to all members of the Assembly by the 10 June 2015 and will need to be received by the Senate Support Team no later than Midday on Wednesday 24 June 2015 to be valid.
