Ideate, our new research administration system, is now live. The first phase of Ideate is a research application tool. The second phase, which we'll complete later this year, will be a hosting system for research profiles, replacing the eRA My Profile system.

As a research application tool, the new system has many benefits:

• It's easy to create a research proposal according to funder's rules.
• Signing off applications and accepting awards is a straightforward process with easy access to relevant info.
• Researchers can view their research proposals and check on their progress at any time, including a record of contract negotiation.
• It's simple to navigate the system due to its user-friendly, intuitive interface.
