Internet Explorer 10: Available Now

IT Services have made Internet Explorer (IE) 10 available to all staff on ITS-managed desktops. This new version of IE is faster than the previous one, and also supports newer web features that some sites use.

To install it:

  1. Open your start menu.
  2. Click "All Programs".
  3. Click "IT Services Delivered Applications".
  4. Click "Get More Apps…".
  5. In the window that opens, double click the IE 10 installer icon, then follow the on-screen instructions.

The program will take 20-30 minutes to install. You can still use your computer while this is taking place, but you will have an installation window at the front of your view during that time - we'd recommend dragging it to one side since you won't be able to minimise it. After that, it'll warn you that your computer will restart in 5 minutes. You can't stop this at this point, so make sure you have all your work saved before it restarts.
