IT Services have made Internet Explorer (IE) 10 available to all staff on ITS-managed desktops. This new version of IE is faster than the previous one, and also supports newer web features that some sites use.
To install it:
- Open your start menu.
- Click "All Programs".
- Click "IT Services Delivered Applications".
- Click "Get More Apps…".
- In the window that opens, double click the IE 10 installer icon, then follow the on-screen instructions.
The program will take 20-30 minutes to install. You can still use your computer while this is taking place, but you will have an installation window at the front of your view during that time - we'd recommend dragging it to one side since you won't be able to minimise it. After that, it'll warn you that your computer will restart in 5 minutes. You can't stop this at this point, so make sure you have all your work saved before it restarts.
