Vicki Offin, Development and Alumni Engagement
Vicki was nominated for her outstanding work on two major alumni events—Warwick in Delhi and Warwick in Mumbai. These events were a great success and a testament to Vicki’s excellent planning and creative approach.
"She thinks carefully about the intended audience and looks at ways of ensuring that no one feels excluded. She is an inspiration to her events team and the wider department."
Although Vicki has experience delivering events in India, this year she took things to a new level. With the University’s 60th anniversary as a central theme, she focused on creating a warm and engaging environment where alumni could reconnect with one another and with Warwick.
The events featured a range of thoughtful touches, including a ‘memory wall’ where alumni shared stories from their time at Warwick, and a visual notetaker who captured these memories in artwork.
Vicki introduced a ‘contacts wall’ to help attendees share their contact information with each other in an easy and accessible way.
She also collaborated with Digital Arts and Humanities to create a virtual reality station showcasing what campus looks like today, which is especially meaningful for alumni who haven’t been back in years.
Vicki's nominator told us:
"Feedback for both events has been remarkable. The audience commented on how it was the best Warwick event they've attended so far and that their affinity to the University has strengthened because of it.
I am so proud to work with Vicki and to see how she creatively approaches each project and event with which she is involved."
