Nominations to represent the Assembly on the Senate

Nominations are invited for one member of the Assembly to serve as a representative of the Assembly on the Senate for a period from 2 June 2018 through to 31 July 2021. The vacancy has occurred due to the recent retirement of Shirley Crookes. All University staff on level 1-9 terms and conditions from the date of their employment are members of the Assembly.

In light of the current membership of the Senate, on this occasion a nominee from the Assembly must be a member of administrative/support staff only; the nomination must also be proposed and seconded by members of the Assembly.

To create a nomination, emails each sent separately by the nominee (confirming their consent to be nominated), the proposer and the seconder should be sent to Phil Griffiths, on behalf of the Registrar, at senate at warwick dot ac dot uk no later than the end of Friday 4 May 2018.

If more than one nomination is received, an election by electronic ballot will be held during the period 21 May – 1 June 2018. Each nominee will be asked to provide a supporting statement by 11 May; the statement must be no more than 300 words and tailored to the role of representing the Assembly on the Senate. The supporting statements from each nominee will be published on the ballot webpage for the duration of the election. If an election is held, further information will be posted on insite and emailed to all members of the Assembly on Monday 21 May.
