Springboard Programme 2025
From April 2025, we're pleased to once again be able to offer the internationally acclaimed Springboard women’s development programme.
Some female staff at Warwick have said that they lack confidence to apply for roles, missing out on potential progression opportunities. Some feel they remain ‘stuck’ in roles even though they may have the potential to progress and flourish in roles at higher grades.
To support female staff and help us to make the best use of the many talents of colleagues, we are offering this development programme to female staff at grades 3-5 in professional services roles across the University (where individuals don’t currently have access to the programme through their own Faculty or division).
"It gave me the confidence to apply for a Grade 6 job... I attended the interview and was offered the job. I wouldn't have had the confidence to apply for a Grade 6 role before attending the course."
Overview
The programme features guest speakers from within and outside Warwick to inspire participants. The programme is highly interactive – participants will be working with colleagues on a number of different activities over four days.
Topics will enable time and space to reflect on what’s important; to explore how to set and achieve personal goals.
Each participant will receive a workbook – an integral part of the programme and a place to capture thoughts, ideas and action plans. Workshops will require pre-preparation tasks, completing chapters in the accompanying Springboard workbook in order to achieve the learning outcomes.
Dates
The course will be delivered on four separate days (one per month) between April and July 2025. Participants are required to attend all four days.
The programme runs all day, usually 9am-4pm.
- Day 1 - Wednesday 9 April
- Day 2 - Wednesday 7 May
- Day 3 - Wednesday 4 June
- Day 4 - Wednesday 2 July
How to apply
You need to be in a professional services role, grades 3, 4 or 5, at the time you undertake the course.
If you are available for all four dates and are supported by your department for a place on the Spring 2025 course, you will be asked to complete a formal application form, which includes your line manager’s approval.
To receive an application form please email the Education Group to express your interest at: academicregistrar@warwick.ac.uk. The deadline for completed applications is Friday 13 December 2024.
