Term 2 update
The University is implementing a staggered start to face to face teaching for term 2, in line with Government guidelines on students return in January. The guidelines set out expectations of a staggered start, in order to minimise the risks of transmission of Covid-19.
Testing in January
Students are also strongly advised to have asymptomatic tests ahead of re-starting face-to-face teaching. We will offer asymptomatic testing on campus from 5 January (booking details to be confirmed), or students may take tests before travel.
Teaching and learning
All courses will resume as planned on 11 January, but face to face teaching resumes as follows for different groups:

Standard blended model (including face to face) starts for: · All of the Science Engineering and Medicine faculty (including WMG) · International Foundation Programme · Relevant courses in Theatre and Performance Studies |

Standard blended model (including face to face) starts for: · all other first year UGs · all other PGT
The first two weeks of teaching will be online only for these students. |
Week commencing 1 February
|
Standard blended model (including face to face) starts for: · all others i.e. other second and third year UG

Student communications
We have written to students with this guidance, including information for international students.
We’ve also asked students to continue to check their University email over the vacation for updates.
Academic departments have been asked to get in touch with their students to set out more detail on teaching arrangements for January, in light of the new guidance.
