Student support research

Student support want to hear your experiences of mental and emotional wellbeing and feedback on the services that they offer. You can do this through participation in their student survey or within a focus group

Student survey

The purpose of the first University of Warwick Students' Mental and Emotional Health and Wellbeing Survey is to increase the Student supports' understanding of the mental health and wellbeing needs of our students, so that we are better able to meet them. We would also like to know your views about the existing support services we offer to students. As a current student you are in an ideal position to give us valuable first-hand information from your own perspective. The information you give us will be extremely valuable. It will help to improve what the university support services can offer you and your fellow and future students.

If you choose to participate, you will be asked to click on the link below and answer an electronic questionnaire. It should only take you 10 minutes. After you submit your answers, you will be entered into a prize draw for a £50 Amazon.co.uk gift certificate. You will be asked to provide a valid email address, so contact you if you are the lucky winner.

No risks or discomforts are anticipated from taking part in this study. If you feel uncomfortable with a question, you can skip that question or withdraw from the study altogether by exiting the web browser. If you decide to quit at any time before you have finished the questionnaire, your answers will NOT be recorded. Your responses will be kept completely confidential. We will NOT know your IP address when you respond to the Internet survey. Once the questionnaire has been submitted it cannot be withdraw as they will be anonymous.

By clicking on the link below you acknowledge that you have read this information and agree to participate in this research. You are free to withdraw your participation at any time. Students' Mental and Emotional Health and Wellbeing Survey.

Focus Groups

Warwick has funded a study to explore how to improve students’ support of their emotional and mental wellbeing. We would like to talk to you and find out what you think about the University’s student support services, even if you have not used them.
The study involves:

  • Attending to a one-off focus group on campus
  • Led by a professionally trained researcher
  • The focus group will last up to 90 minutes and will be kept strictly confidential
  • Refreshments will be available on the day

If you are interested in taking part in the study please contact Alba Realpe, the project researcher (Tel: 02476151885).
