Based on feedback from academic staff, IT Services plans to migrate the computers in lecture theatres and other teaching rooms to Windows 7. This migration will mean much shorter login times for these computers.
To make sure this is being done in a way that benefits a wide range of academic staff, a pilot will be run in the Ramphal building in the week commencing 22 April 2013. Based on the results of this, IT Services will work to migrate the rest of the teaching computers during the summer term.
