Transplant Games 2023

Celebrating organ donation

The British Transplant Games took Coventry by storm in July, as more than 2,700 transplant recipients, live donors, donor families and supporters gathered for four days of sport, celebrations, and surprises to mark the Sapphire anniversary of the Games.

Warwick's state-of-the-art sporting facilities played host - now, English undergraduate student Anika Husain reflects on her volunteering experience.

Anika's experience

"It has been a special privilege to have been a part of this agenda among both the donor families and transplant recipients that have come together to celebrate the gift of life as a community.

I have felt extremely fulfilled to have been given the opportunity to give back as a Warwick student."
