Meet our latest Wow winner...

Professor Stuart Croft: We are here at the Junction for our Wow award because at the end of our graduation ceremonies in January, the Warwick Innovation District team took over the whole Arts Centre for a day for our first ever Festival of Innovation. And it was the most extraordinary success. Best part of a thousand people came celebrating the amazing achievements, not only of people here on this campus, but the work that we do with partners in the region, nationally and internationally.

But that's not why this Wow award is being given. It's being given because the team that put all this together, they did so with such energy, with such commitment, with such a lot of challenges in a warm, inclusive, kind and friendly way. They are a real lesson to us all on how to handle stress and get things done. So let's go and say to them, thank you, and give them their Wow award.

Hello everybody. Hello. You're having a nice day? Well, we'll see what we can do about that. You see, do you remember all the way back to January? You did something, didn't you? To kick off the 60th anniversary, we had our Festival of Innovation and wow, you have been nominated. Wow. This is a clue, by the way, people, in the Wows and Wonders to be the winner of the team effort, the Wow for this fantastic, amazing event that you put together for the Festival of Innovation.

And you won. You've won, you've won. This is an amazing thing. Congratulations to all of you. Now, in the comments and the nominations and the various things that were said, there's a series of things about hurdles that had to be overcome, but also the way that you as a team went about it, showing engagement and kindness and openness and great inclusivity in terms of just bringing people in. Packing out the Arts Centre and everywhere around. Feedback has been incredible and amazing and just so, just so positive.

So let's do a bit of awarding with pieces while you are, you look as if you're about to pass out.

Stuart: Look, it's written. So do you know what that means? It means it's official because it's on a piece of paper. You are the winners for the fantastic work that you did. The Festival of Innovation. Most importantly of all, thank you so much. Look at this because you are all, guess what? You are. You are stars for this fantastic work that you did.
