Edward Lynch delivers Martin Rushton Memorial Lectures at BDA
Edward Lynch, Head of Warwick Dentistry, delivered the prestigious Martin Rushton Memorial Lectures at the British Dental Association head quarters on Wednesday 19th October. The BDA, for the first time, organised a live transmission to a second lecture room in the BDA in order to accommodate the record number of attendees.
President role for Professor Peter Winstanley
Professor Peter Winstanley, Dean of Warwick Medical School, has been appointed as President of The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH). Founded in 1907, the RSTMH facilitates research and education in tropical medicine and provides opportunities for people to present research findings and discuss topical issues. It is widely regarded as the foremost scholarly society of Tropical Medicine in Europe.
Stewart Goodwin
It is with great sadness that the University reports the death of Stewart Goodwin, a student in his third year of the graduate entry Joint Degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. Our thoughts are with Stewart’s friends, fiancé and family at this time.
Peter Abrahams awarded National Teaching Fellowship
Peter Abrahams, Professor of Clinical Anatomy at Warwick Medical School, has been awarded a National Teaching Fellowship, the most prestigious award for excellence in higher education teaching and support for learning.
