Edward Lynch delivers Martin Rushton Memorial Lectures at BDA
Edward Lynch, Head of Warwick Dentistry, delivered the prestigious Martin Rushton Memorial Lectures at the British Dental Association head quarters on Wednesday 19th October. The BDA, for the first time, organised a live transmission to a second lecture room in the BDA in order to accommodate the record number of attendees.
Warwick chef helps combat hunger in South Africa
University of Warwick chef, Graham Crump, has just returned from South Africa, where he took part in a charity cook-off which raised £800,000 to combat hunger amongst the country’s poorest people.
Dr Tim Lockley returns from Outreach in Georgia
Dr Tim Lockley, Associate Professor, History, and Reader in Comparitive American Studies, took part in last week's symposium on 'Slavery & Freedom in Savannah' in Georgia, US. The event included giving talks on black Savannah history to 300 local people and school children.
Dr Vas Stavros and Nick Barker return from US Outreach
Dr Vasilios Stavros, Associate Professor, and Nick Barker, Outreach Officer, both from the Department of Chemistry, recently returned from Outreach in Georgia. Together with their US collaborator, Professor Susanne Ullrich, they visited local schools delivering Nick Barkers' famous 'Flashes and Bangs' lecture.
