Peter Rose has recently taken up the post of Warwick Volunteers Manager, with responsibility for overseeing and developing volunteering opportunities within the local community for students and staff. He will be looking to work with colleagues interested in extending work in the local community, and developing new opportunities for student and staff participation.

The winners of this year’s Warwick Awards for Teaching Excellence (WATE) have been announced. These annual awards recognise and reward staff who have made an outstanding impact on the student learning experience and whose teaching is of an exceptionally high standard.

Sue Bennett, current Director of the Learning and Development Centre, has been appointed as the new Director of Careers and Student Employability. Sue will take up her new role from Monday 18 May.

Professor Howard Thomas, Dean of the Warwick Business School made the following announcement to WBS colleagues today.

It is with great sadness that the University reports the death yesterday of Carl Blakey, a postgraduate student within MOAC. Our thoughts are with Carl's friends and family at this time.
