Sir Richard Young
It is with great sadness that the University announces the death of Sir Richard Young. Richard “Dick” Young was a member of the Council and Chair of the Building Committee at Warwick, and was made an Honorary Graduate in 1987.
Warwick Farewell - Denis Welchman
Denis Welchman, Head of Estates Projects in the Estates Office is to retire on Friday 27 June after 35 years at the University.
Nicole Seligman
It is with great sadness that the University reports the death of Nicole Seligman, a first year student in the Department of Politics and International Studies. She died in her residence on campus on 23rd June. Her tutors have described her as a bright and promising young student whose loss is very hard to take. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this sad time.
Outstanding Paper Award for Professor Pia Christensen
A paper published by a research team co-led by Professor Pia Christensen, Institute of Education, has won a 2008 Emerald Literati Outstanding Paper Award. Their paper, "Children's influence on and participation in the family decision process during food buying," was published in the Young Consumers journal.
New International Office Director Appointed
