Warwick Welcomes - Professor Herakles Polemarchakis, AB Yale, PhD Harvard, formerly Professor in Economics at Brown University, to Professor in the Department of Economics, from 1 September 2005.

Andrew Gordon is the new director of the University-owned jobs board, jobs.ac.uk. The site is widely recognised as one of the largest and most successful job sites in the UK. Over 30,000 jobs are advertised each year and there are over 300,000 unique users each month. Andrew was involved in the initial set up of the site in January 1998 and has now returned to the company after a period spent running his own web marketing consultancy.

The Deputy Editor of the student newspaper the Warwick Boar, Matt Sandy, has been nominated for two Daily Mirror/NUS National Student Journalism Awards, in both the Best Reporter and Best Investigative Journalism categories.
