Warwick Triathlon member crowned world champion
A student from The University of Warwick has been crowned under-20 triathlon world champion at the World Age Group Triathlon Championships in London.
Terry Monnington retires
Terry Monnington retires from the University on 14 September 2012. Terry has worked at Warwick since 1971, when he was appointed as a Lecturer on Physical Education. He has been Director of Sport and Physical Education for 14 years.

A Warwick team took part in the historic Venetian Regatta, held annually on the first Sunday of September.
James Lockwood wins inaugural climbing competition
Undergraduate James Lockwood has won the inaugural Simon Turner-Bottomley Climbing Competition for first-year students, which took place at the Climbing Centre in June 2012.
Gemma Morris joins the LOCOG team
Warwick Sport Manager Gemma Morris is playing a key role in the Olympic football this summer. Gemma, who is also a Warwick alumnus, will be joining the the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) team as Football Hotels Operations Manager for Coventry.
