David Dabydeen: non-resident Ambassador to Japan
Congratulations to Professor David Dabydeen, Centre for Caribbean Studies, who was recently appointed as the non-resident Ambassador to Japan. Ambassadors are ministers of the highest rank, with authority to represent their head of state. A Non-Resident Ambassador does not reside within the country to which they are accredited but lives in a nearby country.
Professor Dabydeen is also Guyana’s Ambassador to China - a position he has held since 2010.
