Banning super-size chocolate in hospitals good public health move
Professor Sarah Stewart-Brown from Warwick Medical School comments NHS England removing larger portion chocolate bars and snacks from vending machines and shops at hospitals.
She said: "It is important that the NHS supports patients and staff to make healthy choices. Stress makes many of us reach for unhealthy props and also to think more is better. Hospitals can make both patients and staff feel stressed. This proposal doesn’t take away those props, it just makes it more difficult to have too much. So the proposal has to be helpful for public health, and for staff and patients who want to look after their health."
