Assistant Professor at Warwick Business School Shweta Singh commented: “Hosting an AI summit in the first place is a positive first step, as it means we are acknowledging the risks that come with this world changing technology. We need more co-operation across tech companies and government whilst we wait for the law to catch up to a rapidly changing technological landscape.

"This is all the more vital with the election next year, as well as the US election, which are at risk of being disrupted on a whole new scale through malicious use of AI. Hopefully, this will push politicians into taking this issue seriously – otherwise we could be looking at elections full of deepfakes and disinformation.”
