Warwick Conferences Donate to Local Colleges

Warwick Conferences has donated several thousand pounds to two local colleges. This is an annual event - each year a client party is held, which each school is invited to and at which donations are raised.

Leaders of Digital Revolution to take the campaign to West Midlands business

Three of the country’s leading figures in the development and use of digital media have been signed up to highlight how small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in the West Midlands can take advantage of digital media. Anthony Lilley, Dr Jon Salkeld and Dr Adam Rutherford will be the keynote speakers at the ‘Using Digital Media in Marketing and Communications’ conference to be staged by ideasforlife.tv at Alton Towers on Tuesday 18th March.

Warwick Economics Summit 2008

The weekend from 15th to 18th February saw Warwick play host to the entirely student run 2008 Warwick Economics Summit – the largest academic conference of its kind in Europe. The Summit has been going strong for seven years since its inception in 2002. Attracting high profile speakers from the world of business and economics, such as John Kay (returning to the Summit after his first appearance in 2004) and Tim Harford, author of the ‘The Undercover Economist,’ and delegations of students across different universities and countries, the Summit aimed to provide a platform for the exchange and debate of economic ideas and the establishment of links across universities.

University of Warwick supporting 4th National Science Cities Summit

The University of Warwick is supporting the 4th National Science Cities Summit, hosted by Birmingham Science City on Thursday 15 and Friday 16 November.

The Summit, entitled: "Quality of Life" aims to investigate how Science Cities can promote economic development driven by quality of life and engage businesses with Science Cities. This is a major opportunity to shape the future of the six Science Cities as key delivery partners for the Government's science and innovation agenda.

The conference will be held at three of Birmingham's flagship venues: the International Convention Centre (ICC), the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) and Millennium Point, Birmingham's Science museum with a unique remit to reflect future science and technology in addition to the region's rich technological heritage. Day one will include a keynote speech by Ian Pearson MP, Minister of State for Science, as well as speakers from both the public and private sector.

World Conference for Gifted and Talented Children

In August 2007, parents, teachers, policy makers, and academics from across the globe will come to the University of Warwick for the World Conference for Gifted and Talented Children.

The World Council for Gifted and Talented Children's 17th Biennial World Conference will host lead speakers from Africa, Canada, China, Finland, The United Kingdom and the United States of America with delegates from more than 50 countries.
