Unitemps, the campus-based recruitment agency owned by The University of Warwick that helps thousands of people find work, has welcomed Teesside University to its growing network.

Unitemps Teesside launched on Monday 16^th September, ready to support new and returning students for the 2024/25 academic year. In the previous academic year, Unitemps celebrated the addition of Heriot-Watt University and the University of Gloucestershire, and this year with the launch of Teesside University the total number of offices based on campus has risen to eighteen universities across the UK.

The continued success in the growth of the franchise demonstrates a commitment to addressing key challenges across the UK higher education sector, from student experience and employability to finance and compliance.

James Mathers, Unitemps Franchise Relationship Manager, commented on the expansion of the network: “Having had the pleasure of visiting the university on numerous occasions and being able to work in collaboration with the wider Teesside University team, it’s clear to see just how much potential the Unitemps branch has in having a significant impact on the wider student experience, graduate outcomes and the local Teesside economy. Unitemps Teesside University will help students gain part-time or full-time work experience in various sectors including engineering, events, retail, sports, education, and IT roles. Situated within Middlesbrough on the ground floor of the Student Life Building students will be able to visit and find support in getting flexible work that fits around their studies. All profits generated by Unitemps will be reinvested into the university.

Katie Kendall, Unitemps Teesside Branch Manager, shares her thoughts on the advantages of opening a Unitemps branch: “We are so excited to be launching our Unitemps branch at Teesside University, which will be an extension of the offering and support we currently provide through our Student Futures team. Working in collaboration, we know that we can enhance student experience, provide job opportunities, and develop work and employability skills.
