We're very excited to announce our AI Superpower showcase 2022 poster winners. Congratulations to the all the winners, runners-up and their teams.

First place: Targeting Residential Areas for Retrofit

Name: Meghana Asthana

Congratulations to Meghna for submitting the Data Science for Social Good Team poster which was voted as our winner.

The research helped UK City Councils to identify areas with houses that should be targeted for retrofitting, for solar PV output estimations and guidance and energy capacity which can inform areas that might cause grid issues in planning.

Runners-up: Predicting Students at Risk of becoming NEET

Name: Pranjusmrita Kalita

A further prize winner from the Data Science for Social Good summer school, Predicting Students at Risk of Becoming not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET). Impact for the project partners Buckinghamshire Council and the EY Foundation reducing a model to reduce false positive and threshold adjustment for potential NEET students, to allow for targeted resources for specific students at risk. Tool adoption for by other local authorities could improve the % of NEET nationally.

Runners up: TIAToolbox: Advanced Tissue Image Analytics

Name: John Pocock

This research area has received much attention and also offers access through Github and Open source papers. The TIAToolbox provides a python toolbox designed to make computational pathology accessible to computational, biomedical and clinical researchers.
