Note: Submissions are welcome from all those who have engaged with conference materials as in-person or online attendees, as well as those who have viewed recordings of the sessionsLink opens in a new window and would like to develop relevant work.
Expressions of Interest
Initially, we invite outline expressions of interest to be submitted to Exchanges
Editor-in-Chief (Dr Gareth J Johnson) via email (exchangesjournal@warwick.ac.uk)
by 31st October 2023.
These expressions should include author name(s), proposed
paper name and a brief description of the article’s proposed contents. Where
proposals directly mirror information in the symposium programme, authors are
welcome to simply include a suitable link. Successful authors will be invited from early
November to draft their full articles.
Call Guidance - Expressions of Interest: Special Issue - Research Culture
Research culture initiatives often occur in silos within institutions with minimal opportunity to share insights and exchange knowledge. As an output of the conference, IRCC23 aims to put together a special issue which will curate robust and reproducible research culture knowledge.
The Research Culture Special Issue will be published in Exchanges: The Interdisciplinary Research Journal (ISSN 2053-9665),
Exchanges is an online Open Access journal published by Institute of Advanced Study at the University of Warwick since 2013. The journal is free for authors and free for readers. All articles will be assigned a "doi" (a permanent and unique online ID of a document).
By default, the articles will be published in the category, "Critical Reflection" (1000-1400 words), which will go through editorial review. The deadline will be in autumn 2023, and we expect the special issue to appear in spring 2024. If authors wish, they can submit a full article ("Original Research Article", up to 6000 words, peer-reviewed), but the article is likely to appear in a regular issue of Exchanges, later than the special issue. More details will be announced at the conference.
