Sensory Experiences
Seeking vs. avoidant; overwhelm vs. underwhelm
We want to share your experiences
All the submissions here are related to some kind of sensory experience, be it overwhelm or underwhelm, sensory seeking, or sensory avoidance... or just 'good' and/or 'bad' sensory experiences. From the perspective of those experiencing the sensory sensitivity and those who are supporting them.
We hope that these photos, images and insights help people (including those who created them) gain a deeper understanding of the sensory lived experience of being neurodivergent.
Thank you to all of our wonderful contributors.
If you would like to utilise any of our works in your work e.g., you are a teacher, trainer, team lead etc., in any sector - then please get in touch. It is important we understand who wants to engage with our exhibition, and who could be benefiting from it. It is also important that the artists - the Coventry and Warwickshire citizens who contributed their creativity to the project, are aware that their voice is being shared, and is being heard. And could, be helping, to create change.
Please email the project lead - India Holme on india.holme@warwick.ac.uk
Thanks and best wishes!
