About the session:
During this relaxing 60-minute Session, poet Laurie BolgerLink opens in a new window guides you through a mixture of Creative Writing, Mindful Movement & Meditation.
It will take place at approximately 1pm in FAB 0.18.
Please note places are limited and will be a first come, first serve!
Laurie mixes the flow of free writing with calming extracts read from carefully chosen books.
Slow Flow & Words allows you to enjoy creative meditation with a little stretch along to some calming words around the theme of joy and even writing a few of your own along the way.
This session is both cleansing and creative, sending you into a blissful state of relaxation, switching off and getting in touch with your creativity flow.
Please note: Participants will need to bring a soft surface or yoga mat to sit on, a notepad, a pen and clothes they can stretch comfortably in.
All levels welcome.
About the facilitator:
Laurie Bolger is a London based writer & the founder of The Creative Writing Breakfast Club. Laurie’s work has featured at Glastonbury, Google, TATE, The RA, BBC Local News & Sky Arts. Laurie has collaborated with global brands & charities such as Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Penhaligons, Liberty, Nationwide, Choose Love & Mind UK. This year Laurie was the winner of The Moth Poetry Prize and was shortlisted for The Sylvia Plath, Bridport and Forward Poetry Prize. Her latest books include ‘Makeover’ and ‘Spin’ celebrating the resilience of working class women, autonomy and love. Laurie has been teaching creative workshops for over a decade bringing people together to celebrate their own unique voices & scribbles.
