IRCC26 is the International Research Culture Conference 2026, organised by the University of Warwick's National Centre for Research Culture.

The theme for IRCC26 is Collaboration for Lasting Change.

Yes. The free ticket is designed as a light-touch, inclusive way to involve the wider international community in the conference. It includes access to three panel sessions, two keynotes, and the start- and end-of-day sessions across the two days.

Full 'access all area' tickets offer access to a broader range of sessions across the programme, reflecting the full breadth of content available. This helps us to ensure a balanced and fair offer for all attendees, whilst also being able to manage platform capacity. Please note this option is now sold out.

For full ticket holders, the conference programme includes keynote talks, panel sessions, presentations, interactive workshops, poster presentations, and a Research Culture Carousel.

Based in the heart of the UK, the University campus is accessible by many major motorway and train routes (with Coventry train station being our closest). For our international visitors, Birmingham International Airport is just 20 minutes’ drive away.

Limited rooms are available on site, just a short walk from where the conference will take place, though these do book very quickly. Onsite accommodation can be booked via Warwick Conferences. Otherwise, the nearest bookable hotels are a short taxi ride away. Further suggestions and information can be found here.

Yes. The car parks on campus use Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR). If you need parking, you must register in advance so that no charge is applied. Delegates who have registered and paid for the conference will receive an email with a promotional code and information about where to park.

Yes. In-person sessions will take place across two floors. Lifts are available on either side of The Oculus.

Delegates will be asked about any special requirements at the point of registration. Those who have already shared allergies or intolerances, and whose lunch needs to be plated separately, will be contacted before the event to confirm details. Please note that the University operates a no nut policy for catering.

Yes. A dedicated reflection space will be available as a quiet area for rest, mindfulness, or personal reflection during the event.

Our conference is a welcoming space for everyone. Please help us create an environment where people feel comfortable sharing ideas, asking questions, and connecting with others.

• Be yourself. We do not have a dress code—wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident.
• Treat everyone with respect. Research culture can sometimes be a sensitive topic, so listen carefully and be considerate of different experiences and perspectives.
• Create space for others. Avoid interrupting or dominating conversations, and make sure everyone has an opportunity to contribute.
• Engage constructively. Ask thoughtful questions, offer feedback respectfully, and focus on developing ideas rather than criticising individuals.
• Respect different viewpoints. Discussion and debate are welcome, but personal comments, dismissive behaviour, and discriminatory language are not.
• Be mindful of consent and boundaries. Respect people’s personal space, time, privacy, and preferences when networking or taking photographs.
• Keep sessions inclusive. Arrive on time, keep devices quiet, and avoid behaviour that distracts from the speaker or other attendees.
• Look out for one another. If you see or experience behaviour that conflicts with these principles, speak to a member of the organising team.
