Peng Wang - Director

Peng has been focused primarily on two areas of research - developing novel computational imaging techniques (ptychography, 4D STEM) for Cryo-EM, 3D reconstruction and EM field mapping, which can then tackle characterization challenges across the physical and life sciences, ranging from battery materials to biological macromolecules.

Steve York - Manager

Steve manages the multi-user EM RTP facility. Steve has a wide knowledge of all the microscopy techniques the facility houses, in addition to sample preparation for imaging. Steve can help users design experiments, or alternatively carry out imaging on behalf of the user.

Yisong Han - Scientific Officer

Yisong uses all the microscopes in the facility, but his main responsibility is the aberration-corrected ARM200F. His expertise in atomic resolution imaging and spectroscopy opens up the use of this powerful instrument to all users.

Steve Hindmarsh - Technical Specialist

Steve provides technical support to the EM facility with particular specialisms in FIB, SEM and AFM. His time is split between training/advising users on the facilities instruments, carrying out microscopy work on behalf of others, designing/manufacturing new components and general maintenance duties.

Andrew Unsworth - Research Technician
