MI EM Conference 2026

The 3rd Midlands Innovation Electron Microscopy (MIEM) Conference will be hosted by the University of Warwick on Tuesday 21st April 2026, on behalf of the Midlands Innovation Electron Microscopy Network . The conference brings together Research Technical Professionals working in electron microscopy and related fields. The programme will feature talks on advanced microscopy techniques, RTP development, funding opportunities, and updated capabilities across the Midlands Innovation (MI) region. Building on the success of previous events, the conference aims to continue cultivating a strong and prosperous technical network.

This conference is aimed at EM Facility staff and EM focused academics. The deadline for registration will be Tuesday 7th April.  There is no registration fee and lunch will be providedA full agenda will follow at a later date. The day after the conference, 22nd April, the EM RTP at Warwick will hold a Facility Open Day, sponsored by the Technology Specialists Network. The aim of the Open Day is to showcase our world-class instrumentation, raise awareness of the facility’s capabilities, connect with peers in the electron microscopy community, and strengthen partnerships with key EM instrument manufacturers.
