Warwick Scientific Services Manager role now live!

The role for Warwick Scientific Services (WSS) Manager is now live. This role will help oversee WSS and grow an important function in how Warwick works with industry. It will deliver the marketing strategies for WSS and build rapport across multiple academic departments. The postholder will act as an ambassador of Warwick at externally facing events and will be a key member of staff within the Research Technology Platforms.

Dr David Walker leads EPSRC funded Electron Diffractometer Success for Warwick

Dr David Walker, Platform Manager of the X-ray Diffraction (XRD) Research Technology Platform (RTP) has won £1.5M of funding from the EPSRC to house a National Electron Diffraction Facility for Nanomaterial Structural studies. The award was won alongside Professor Richard Walton (Department of Chemistry) and Professor Richard Beanland (Department of Physics), as well as collaborators at the University of Southampton, led by Professor Simon Coles. As part of the funding, each institution will receive a first of its kind commercial electron diffractometer and a technical post to facilitate the project.
