Women’s Health Mission at the University of Warwick
What a great day with so many passionate people coming together to talk about women's health and learn about the Women's Health Mission, led by an awesome team: Erin Greaves, Beck Taylor, Charlotte Kershaw, Andrew McAinsh, Institute of Translational Medicine, Warwick Medical School.
5 minute talks with a 1 slide maximum was a challenging format but a great taste of the breadth of work in women's health across the university, from answering questions about embryo implantation and endometriosis in the lab, to clinical trials looking at cancer treatment and the options for women giving birth to larger babies, to work improving the integration and accessibility of women's health care. We could have stayed a week and not heard it all!
Great insights from our community to the question: To improve health outcomes for women, what does the mission need to do & what is the first step?
This is just the beginning!
Our wonderful Poet-in -Residence, Su Menon, has captured the day beautifully in this poem - you can listen to it here.
