Creative Futures Event

On 9 April, entrepreneurs and members of the Warwick community gathered to learn about the opportunities available with Creative Futures; a 6-month incubator for graduates, alumni, early stage, start ups and SMEs to help launch their creative and digital business.
The event, organised by Warwick’s Business, Manufacturing and Innovation Spotlight was held at 1 Mill Street, a co-working and community hub in Leamington Spa. The evening featured talks from Mari Carmen (Fit Mama), James Urqhart (Rupert.AI) and Mahesh De Zoysa (Blue Screen Tech), who have all utilised the help available from the Creative Futures initiative.
With six months of business support, mentoring and advice to develop their business, the initiative is a gateway to the University of Warwick, enabling knowledge exchange and collaborative research and development, allowing local businesses to access support and services.
Dubbed ‘Silicon Spa’, Leamington has become a hub of creativity and Warwick is helping to bridge the gap between industry and academia.
The speakers described the impact the initiative has had on advancing their businesses.
