Health Spotlight ECR Gathering

Event capture

17 people attended the event, and it was a huge success – everyone appreciated the initiative shared their challenges and suggested opportunities and feedback for how the spotlight can help. I will be going into more detail with the rest of the team in a follow up email but here is a short summary:

The health spotlight ECR welcome event was attended by ECR from various departments across the university including the school of law, school of modern languages, doctoral collage, institute of advanced study, school of life sciences, Warwick medical school, clinical trials unit and school of engineering. This event provided a positive and neutral environment for the ECRs to meet one another, form connections and openly discuss about the definition of health, the challenges with ECR progression and interdisciplinary research. Opportunities for how the health spotlight can aid health ECRs training and development were also discussed.

About the event

Many ECRs who are interested in interdisciplinary health research are often met with the challenge of meeting others who share the same research visions and who also wish to connect with others.

This welcome event will bring together interdisciplinary health early career researchers from various departments to meet one another, share their ambitions and challenges that we all face, in order to build a stronger and collaborative community.
