TRANSFORM Warwick: Shaping the Future of Social Enterprise & Sustainability Support

TRANSFORM Warwick

Shaping the Future of Social Enterprise & Sustainability Support

About

Across the university, there is growing momentum around sustainability, social enterprise, and purpose-led innovation. Alongside this, there is increasing interest in developing a dedicated sustainability and social enterprise generator/accelerator programme to support emerging ventures, interdisciplinary collaboration and future changemakers.

This workshop is designed to bring together some of Warwick’s brightest minds to share insights, challenges, and ambitions as we explore what best-in-class sustainability and social venture support could look like at Warwick.

Together, we hope to:

  • Identify opportunities for collaboration and innovation
  • Explore gaps, strengths, and future priorities in Warwick’s current ecosystem
  • Strengthen interdisciplinary connections across the university community
  • Build a network of individuals passionate about creating meaningful social and environmental impact

The session will be hosted in collaboration with Warwick’s Entrepreneur in Residence, Peter Ptashko, Founder & CEO of Cambio: House of Social ChangeLink opens in a new window. Cambio specialises in sustainability, social entrepreneurship, and leadership development, having supported over 300 organisations and ventures across more than 30 countries through coaching, consultancy, and capacity-building programmes. Their work includes collaborations with universities, social enterprises, and corporate partners, including the Monash Warwick Alliance Global Futures Programme.

During the session, Peter will share reflections from 15 years of experience supporting purpose-driven ventures and organisations, including:

  • Emerging trends in sustainability and social enterprise
  • The differences between supporting ventures with purpose and traditional start-ups
  • Lessons from building impactful entrepreneurship ecosystems and communities
